Cats love inanely simple things. And nothing thrills a cat more than a plain hole in the ground. I'm digging post holes for a new fence, and the cats are having the times of their lives. They jump in and out of the holes, play hide and seek, watch for imagined critters to emerge, and frolic in the dug-up dirt. Gidget (above) deposits her toy mice into the holes and knocks herself out trying to retrieve them.
I design and make retro modern cat beds. My lifelong collection of remarkable vintage fabrics is matched only by a lifelong devotion to my collection of remarkably rescued and formerly feral cats.
(Like Kittysville is really a reference to our home.)
The junior cat lady in the photo is me with the original Wampus.
